In the heart of Africa, four diverse countries meet. Man-made borders are no barrier for the African wildlife, and animals freely roam these countries. The spot where Livingstone, Zambia; Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe; Kasane, Botswana meet – is rich in wildlife living in harmony with humans. They are a model of African conservation. Kalahari elephants, hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, zebras, monkeys and many other species call this land home. Also, the world famous Victoria Falls dot the landscape like a beautiful necklace.

Additional Barrel-Aged Beer Background

We recently spoke with some of the brewers at Avery who created the barrel-aged beers and managed to get a little more background information about the making and inspiration which may help as inspiration.
Brabant is a type of large, Belgian draft horse.  The most interesting thing about our Brabant beer is the fact that it is fermented with two strains of “wild” yeast, or brettanomyces (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brettanomyces) . Brett is well know to impart flavors and aromas of “sweaty saddle”, “barnyard” or “horsey flavors”, giving new meaning to our naming this beer Brabant.

Sui Generis – This beer was a blend of a BUNCH of different types of barrels, and was a very unique way to build/brew a beer, hence the name Sui Generis, which means “constituting a class of its own; unique”.  Chardonnay, port, bourbon, Cab sav barrels etc. all went into this beer.  Very rare way to make a beer!

The black tot is named after the infamous day when to British Royal Navy stopped serving sailors their daily allotment of rum.  More information can be found at the following links:

Four Seasons Denver Tweetup

Denver Photo Contest brought together tweeps from the metro area to go up the still “under-construction” Four Seasons Private Residences and Hotel. Boots and pants were a requirement, but it took some tweeps by surprise. What with an open construction site 45 floor high up, anything could happen. An exhilirating ride up the construction elevator, the photographers got a panoramic 360 view of the downtown skyline. While fires blazed in Los Angeles, the Denver skyline was filled with haze.

Welcome to Exposure! We‘re excited to tell you more about ourselves!

Exposure is a Photographic Arts Community serving the Denver Metro area since December of 2007, and is a great place to meet fun, artistic-minded, creative Denverites.

First and foremost, we strive to be a supportive community of artists dedicated to helping each other grow in our art. We are composed of photographers representing all ages, skill levels, and interests.  Exposure hosts several events every year to showcase the work of our members. Each show has a theme, and all photographers must create new work in order to enter into the show.

In addition to our shows we host educational opportunities, such as workshops in framing, studio photography, and Photoshop. These workshops are taught by local photography professionals, and are available to members for a small fee. We also host several social events each month, such as happy hours, networking meetings, and photo scavenger hunts that will give you a chance to get to know this fabulous community of local photographers.
